Head up to the mountains of BLM-Wyoming to check out this month’s plant of the month! Growing in moist areas of alpine and subalpine regions, American bistort (Polygonum bistortoides) sure is a beauty. It blooms from June to early August. A cylindrical cluster of white flowers sits atop a tall slender stem. The leaves, which mostly occur at the base, are simple and elliptical.
