Flying south from the Arctic? Let Finger Mountain point the way. This unique granite tor can be found at MP 98 of BLM’s Dalton Highway corridor: http://on.doi.gov/GYeaXI. Stories abound of pilots using Finger Mountain to guide their way home. Visitors can stroll the 1/2 mile wayside interpretive trail, take in the panoramic views and explore the alpine tundra of this unique landscape.

Finger Rock actually points toward Fairbanks. There’s a wayside stop there with toilets and an interpretive site.
