My Public Lands “2013 Top Ten” Tumblr Posts

2013 has been an awesome year here at MyPublicLands.  We’re overwhelmed by the support of our more than 106,000 followers who have tuned in to discover the wonder that is their public lands.  We’ve made some great friends over the past year, including the folks at the American Guide, Mother Jones, NPR, PBS and of course our growing Federal Tumblr family. We look forward to providing more original content in 2014 about the science, history, educational opportunities, travel possibilities, and overall awesomeness of the lands we manage – stunning landscapes obviously included.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manages more than 245 million acres of public land, the most of any Federal agency.  This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska.  Check out our most popular posts of 2013 below, and if you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for 2014, you know where the ask button is.

Thank you and Happy New Year!
